What is carob seed fiber?

Carob Seed Fiber or Carob Fiber is a natural plant-based fiber, extracted from the carob seed through a 100% sustainable production process. It is a yellowish-brown free flowing powder, composed from soluble and insoluble fibers (1:1) and rich in natural carob protein. Suitable for gluten-free meals, plant-forward diets, bakery, meat and meat analogue applications too. It gives an high fiber intake in nutritional products and even a Protein boost for sport nutrition products. It has an high water binding capacities, especially heat activated. It can bind 10 times its weight after activation at 82 °C
